**SAFETY RECALL!! 06-07 YARIS HB & SEDANS**

My lack of sleep and being on the internet too much at all times of the night due to the snow and ice covering Indiana led me to find this.

I am seeing that it is a seat belt recall, but it looks like its only in the foreign markets.

The '09's are good? Imagine having to send my Yaris all the way from here. Would probably never see it again.

it says in there built from Jan. 05 - Apr. 08. Sounds like the Pre-09 models to me. 09 models are not usually made until late 08

Apologies; I didn't notice there was a thread in Off-topic section. Given it is Yaris-related I only checked in this forum.

I am betting on Toyota fixing our rusting hanger problem

u know that hanger by the rear that hangs the exhaust. i'm betting it's that part.

as for seatbelt...........hmmmmm

IF your car is re-called .......

You will receive a letter in the mail.........

or

Ask the dealer to check by running your VIN

Many times when there is a recall .....the dealer does not have the parts yet!

Please keep posting updates to this thread. I suspect Sprocket will be affected and this is usually a better source of information than my local Toyota dealership!

Cheers! M2
