New Owner
Just thought I'd introduce myself. Last week I brought home a 2008 2dr LB. It's a manual transmission and black. I have to tell you that I could not be happier with my purchase, despite having 88,000 miles on it the car drives amazingly.
Unfortunately, I have already been christened with a rear end bumper collision. Nothing extreme, I was stopped at a redlight and the lady behind me (in high heels) let off her brake and her car rolled into me. Lets just hope its the last traumatic experience my car has to go through, after I already had to go through learning manual with it. I'm new to the forum, but have found it extremely useful in the short time I've owned my car and will contribute any knowledge I learn along the way. Thanks for reading. |

D'oh! Hopefully it'll buff out!
Otherwise, welcome to the forum and congrats on buying a Yaris in the best possible color there is! Post pics once you've got her cleaned up! Cheers! M2

I'm going to install a tach within the next few days. Other than that I am going to keep it pretty light on mods. There are way too many potholes here that would swallow a nice set of wheels; not to mention, the number of uninsured idiots driving here makes me hesitant to put any extra sum into the car for the time being. I won't be here for more than two years, so if I move to a more driver friendly area I might consider some mods. What part of NC are you in? I lived in Jacksonville for three years.

There is actually a tach diy on here that is really easy. it is great and works really well. if you need help with the install, let me know. I know CTScott would help too. spend a little money and get a nice one. the ones that fit on the steering column are nice.
I live around the greensboro area. I've kind of done the fun daily driver. I've basically done all the power bolt-ons and a few more things like the suspension. I did dress up my wheels (not rims though) |

Thanks for the help. I got an autometer tach today, but it was a little too bulky to mount on the steering column, and too small to mount anywhere else where it's could be seen easily. I think I may go for the one Altitude posted in the tach diy. Where'd you end up installing your tach? As for compensation Bronsin, I can't really say she was my type haha. Thanks MadMax Last edited by Jabro; 11-29-2012 at 10:47 PM. |

I actually just mounted mine right on the dash. I ran the wire into the driver's side glove box. a little ghetto but it worked. mine is a bigh 3.75" autometer. it was one of the first things I did. a stick without a tach is kind of silly.
