The button housing must be made of platinum.

Wow that's pricey!

They are discontinued though I believe. I just received mine today in the mail from Japan. No platinum here, lol.

Also bump for an awesome seller!

I picked mine up from a dealership in Japan via proxy service.

I paid 14250¥ plus commission costs, which is unfortunate because RHDJapan still have them in stock and they just went on sale for $151.75 (link)

FYI I did send them an email and they are in stock, albeit limited.

They are nice but isn't this a much better choice to make financially?

I can make any switch work with my push to start interface module, but if you're going to do it, you might as well use an OEM one. If not that snazzy TRD one, at least a real Toyota Vitz, Avalon, or Camry one (which can be bought for about the same price as the generic one)...

Scott! Where can you get a TRD or OEM push button start and how much do you want for your start kit?

I created an interface to allow the PTS switch to be used on our USDM cars. Here's a video of it in operation on Crashy:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6zinlD58Eg

My Push To Start interface module is $50+shipping (which is $5 in the US).

The switches can be bought from your local dealer, TRD Sparks, or eBay.

Here are the part numbers for the various switches. Any of these will mount properly in the hole that's in our dash:

Vitz Japan/Corolla Japan/Rav4 Japan: 89611-52020
Vitz Japan/Corolla Japan/Rav4 Japan: 89611-52021

Yaris Europe: 89611-0D010

Camry/Highlander/Land Cruiser Japan: 89611-52011

Camry/Avalon USA: 89611-07010
