Blitz owners: fuel controller question

i've mentionned this in the other post but decided to make a new thread for it without the pretty pictures

so i've noticed that on the fuel controller it says AT tranny.
so i suspect that the fuel maps are different for AT and Manual.
but i'm wondering as to how different the fuel map really is.
maybe that's why some of you guys are showing some leaner conditions and others are not depending on the controller you received ?

i dont have a wideband yet so cant say how i'm running.

if you guys could look into it and post back that would be great.

thanks

According to Toshi from Blitz (I called yesterday) "AT" covers both transmissions.

I'm now going to call again and ask about why there would then be a MT/AT sticker.

Mine also says "Type 6" (then 1NZ-FE, 2WD, then the MT/AT)

I never have had the lean condition, just knocking with 93 octane

Thanks Garm you're a good 'un

interesting finds..

Garm, is there any way to get what the different type numbers are as well?

i wonder if toshi will have informative and descriptive answers to this.

although the car "sems" just fine, i'm getting anxious to get my gauges.

serenity, i can't really see, but does yours say "Type 2"?

something about them having fuel controllers that say "AT" "MT" and "MT/AT" and them telling us that "oh it doesn't matter. either one is fine" makes me scratch my head.

Type 2 huh? Interesting, very interesting. When did you get your kit? Recently huh? I believe camell and maybe doc? were the ones that had one extra wire or something like that. We were thinking because they got their kits awhile before the new guys came along, that theirs might be a little different.

However, I don't think anyone has a type 2 fuel controller? I really wish you had a wideband! :P

the question was never asked. if Garm had to specify when ordering, he would be asking when taking orders, i'm sure.

so i'm not pointing fingers at Garm but rather where he orders the kits from as they should be asking the question to him prior to sending out the kit.

but we still lack the knowledge about what the difference actually is.
so, before we know how much of a diffirence this makes, we are only gathering information about:

1- controller type #
2- different codes for tranny : AT/MT - AT - MT

so, is controller type a revision # ? or a different tune depending on other mods? type 1 = stock / type 2 = CAI etc etc ??

i'm curius as to how there could be a AT/MT ok for both and a Fuel map for AT and MT specifically, this doesn't make any sense to me.

email sent to Toshi about #1 and 2 above. I have expressed concern about what the Type # means and why would there be multiple trans designations if there is no difference between boxes.

I have been told that it doesn't matter what designation it has on the box, but I will ask, more strongly this time, again.

Interesting comment. I sure didn't ask customers what they had; I had no idea I needed to. Still don't know, but I will continue to support the product and the customers until we know what we need to know!

Toshi has passed on the comments and photos (thanks for posting those!) to Japan.

He agrees it is (at the very least) mysterious that there would be variable designations on the boxes. Will post the response when it arrives.
