2001 Toyota Vitz RS Front Strut Brace
Hi guys and gals. This is my first post in this forum. I intend to display a photo of the front strut tower brace which i have just installed onto my 2001 Vitz RS.
I couldn't believe the difference it has made to the overall handling of the car. I had fitted 16 inch after market alloys with low profile tyres a few months ago. They made a heck of a difference to the cornering performance. Now with the strut brace fitted, i can take corners a lot faster with very minimal body roll. The brace itself is a Cusco make, Steel ends with a polished aluminium centre bar.I bought it brand new from a guy who had mistakedly ordered from Japan the wrong one for his car. I paid $125 NZ Dollars for it, and has been well worth the money. These braces are unavailable from Toyota New Zealand, as they are deemed to be "After market accessories". I reckon every Yaris, Echo or Vitz should have had one from Factory.. |

Just keep in mind that any performance gains from the front strut tower brace on our cars are going to be extremely minimal, if there are any gains at all.
Most users on here that have them have reported not feeling any difference when having them installed and have them mostly just for show. Better to invest in the trd rear sway bar if you don't have it already.

The strut brace stiffens up the car making it a lot more manageable. I swear by it.

Pics in post #20: http://yarisworld.com/forums/showthr...way+bar&page=2 The op says he can feel a difference with it, and since I don't have a front tower brace myself, I can't prove or disprove it. Best thing to do is buy one for yourself and let us know TinyGiant
