Nice pick up Jason!

For those who don't know, Andy Hollis' latest tests prove that sunroof-optioned cars are quicker in a straight line. The vacuum effect created by the air moving past the open roof actually induces lift, which reduces tire rolling resistance, which allows the car to accelerate faster.

Well dumb me forgot I weight it with my street tires on it and the heavier side exhaust, both of which add about 30lbs of weight to the car LOL
what was that weight?

2180.

The Fit was 2430??
The Blue Mini was 2480??

Also I can't believe how much quicker you were in that first section on Sunday compared to the Fit. He was using launch control to knock out a pretty fast time, but you were still (swag method) something like .5-1 second faster than him.

My 3 was 2781! I tried to launch as aggressively as possible without wheel spin. The fit sure launched well didn't he?

No kidding, It'll be interesting to see how he does at the Pro this weekend. Finally got my Rivals in, so it'll be interesting to see how they stack up to the Dunlop and Toyos. At least I don't have to worry about overheating them after 1 or 2 back to back sessions like I did with the Toyos.

OH, I also heard that the Nationals and other big events will be moving from SD to El Toro. Maybe Jason can confirm?

Well from what I've been told by some people at SD, the lease for Qualcomm is running out and people at SD are actively looking for a new site to replace Qualcomm. Not sure if thats the reason for the rumor or if it was a april fools joke, no idea but one this that is for sure is Qualcomms days are numbered.

You could still sign up for the Pro.

If you read the May 2013 issue of SportsCar, in the mail now, you will see a news item stating that SCCA has extended its contract with the Lincoln Air Park. LAP will be the home of the Solo Nationals through at least 2022. As for the Championship Tour/Pro or other, no idea.

Ready for the Pro. Brand new Kumho V710 tires mounted up, the 215/40-16 went on the stock 16x6" wheels surprisingly easy, and gave it a quick alignment job.

That isn't surprising, and if you really wanted to you could create a spoiler on top to do the same thing. But i doubt you could make it effective enough to see any results at autocross speeds unless it was ridiculously aggressive.

Although you could make it adjustable, and have all sorts of fun figuring out what is the best effective setting for limiting drag and maximizing handling at the same time.

If you look at the date I posted that, it will all become clear.

I see you took the wide line into the turn around before the finish too. What the Prius wasn't engaging enough LOL.

Here's my fastest run but it was a RL. My fast clean run is really boring...compared to pretty boring for my fast run LOL. Really glad I hooked up the foot cam, my foot work sucks.

Me driving Left side RL
