Aftermarket Power Windows??
I've got my eye on this sweet little manual HB that I'm thisclose to buying. Like most, this car comes equipped with the Convenience and Cold Weather Packages. That's my problem. You see, I really have my heart set on one with the PQ Power Package but that package is almost nonexistant in my region. I can live w/o power door locks and the 40/60 rear seat. However, I REALLY want power windows. Does any one know if the Toyota dealer or some other aftermarket shop can replace the cranks with power windows and armrest mounted switches?

Another Toyota, another case where people cannot get the packages they want where they live.

To answer your question; Yes, you can add aftermarket power windows. Yes, the switches could be put below the center arm-rest as there are pre-existing switch mounts there. I like that mounting location best, just like my old Land-Rover Discovery II.
