For those wanting speaker brackets....

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I have been reading a lot of posts about people trying to install their speakers. I emailed Crutchfield about the speaker install into the Liftback. That led me to these on Crutchfield...

Speaker brackets

These are purchasable brackets for when you want to replace your speakers. Front or rear since the stock ones have the bracket built right in. The sales advisor that emailed me back said these will def work in the Yaris LB.

Or you could reuse the brackets from the stock speakers by ripping out the cone, spider, and magnet. That's free!

Yeah, it isn't like you are going to care about the stock speakers! Did you guys see how small the magnet was?

I found that using the stock brackets provides for a pretty good air seal. I'm not sure that the Scosche brackets would fit as close to the sheet metal.

John (bigsky2) did a DIY on speaker brackets for those of you that don't want to destroy your stockies. Use the search function if you want to find it. I'm lazy.

Also...if you buy speakers from Crutchfield, you get these for free. I wouldnt want to rip out the stock speakers from the brackets because if I ever get rid of the car im def not leaving my aftermarket speakers in it. I plan on keeping all my stock components to put it back to stock if I want\have to.
