This will depend on whether you guys decide to go for the expensive stuff or not. If you guys would rather go JDM, the payments would have to be made to Kenbow, who will in turn buy and ship everything to a contact in the US.

If you would rather save a big chunk of change and go for the quality replicas, your money would have to go to my PayPal account and I would do the distribution to said US contact.

I just got back from meeting the fiberglass dude a few minutes ago. He showed me a few of his current projects (i.e. he made a Ferrari body for a VW sedan that's off the hook)... Suffice to say that he'll be able to fab up the eyelids with one hand tied behind his back.

So... We've got two choices, people: We can either go for the original JDM eyelids which cost a pretty penny (not including paypal fees + shipping it all from Japan), or we can get an exact replica of the item (including paint matching and 3M backing tape) for quite a lot less money. How much less? I'll run the numbers and let you know tomorrow!

What do you guys think?

I'd rather save a chunk of money for quality replicas. tk-421 ask that guy to come up with some mock-ups and then you can show the pics and make another thread. Just a thought

quality replicas sounds good for me

but shipping from Japan to Australia is cheaper than from US

so I guess I can't decide untill I have the final price inc. shipping for both

I apologize to everybody for the slow updates. I have yet to receive an update from Kenbow and/or SecondStage. I have just sent another e-mail to see if they'll actually have anything new for us.

The fabricator is coming in today to make the necessary measurements for the mold. He should be able to get back at me before this week is over with the prices.

I've just placed a quote to japanparts on the JDM eyelids. I'm hoping they may be able to help us out (it may be too small a GB at this point as far as shipping discounts are concerned, although I'm giving it a shot anyway).

Sorry for the confusion!

It's simply that I'm having a hard time securing a deal with the store directly, so I'm now going to try using japanparts as an intermediary. I'm hoping they'll be able to buy the parts and ship them over here to us.

Cool. Can't wait........well I guess I can't (literally) so I used some of my extra "black headlight tint film" to make some Type A eyelids for my headlights for now.......only one side is done.......must make the other side!!!

I see you made them a bit more curved than Type A, though... I can custom make them like that for ya if you're interested. The fabricator's coming in tomorrow morning to make molds out of my lights.

nah......i want the type A as it comes not modified lol. This is just my temporary set of "eyelids" that are somewhat transparent LOL now to make a thread in the cosmetic section
