Question Question about cluster swap in progress

Hey all,

I'm in the process of swapping out the stock cluster on my 2007 manual Hatchback (US) with a 06-07 Hatch Canadian version. (link to ebay for reference: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175232190217)

I swapped the core board as suggested by this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lC-V3hV0-2w

When turning the car on, the tach and speedo don't move and the lcd is blank, but my brakes, seatbelt, blinkers etc. all seem to work fine.

Am I missing a step or make a mistake in the process?

Well, switched the core back and made sure the pins on the pcb were connected to the gauges. Now the tach works, but nothing from the speedometer.

I think I may have made a mistake and bought an ABS cluster, and I'm pretty sure my car doesn't have ABS.

EDIT: Swapped the original cluster back in and the speedo doesn't work on it now. I've either messed up one of the wires on the harness or my speed sensor has failed.

EDIT 2: Spoke too soon, went for a drive with the Canadian unit installed and the speedo started working fine. Guess it just needed a warm up.

the brain needed to re-learn what it was attached to, its kinda common for ALOT of parts on new cars to need to do that

That's what I figured, it's working now so its all good.

Sat and swapped out the bulbs on the climate control knobs today and now everything matches a bit better.

it looks like one of the cluster lovating tabs on the dash is broken, the cluster isnt sitting up in the correct position, happened to me too, i used a paper clip and drilled 2 small holes and shaped a new little tab

FWIW its abs plastic so you can just get some pipe glue and ABS sheet from a plastic shop or hobby shop and re-work the tab with ease

It's been bugging me so I will either drill and put a support or do the ABS glue route soon.
