Lexus IS250 gas pedal + Lexus IS Sport Pedals/deadpedal

I wasn't really a fan of the OBX pedals offered and after talking with an MR2 owner about aftermarket pedals they told me that I look into going with the IS Sport pedals since it's a very common modification to do to other Toyotas and fairly simple.

After realizing that no one had in the Yaris community I figured why the heck not!

Simple for others doesn't translate to simple for us unfortunately. Because the USDM Yaris has a nasty plastic blocky shaft as a pedal with no pin holding the pedal in place as it's molded to the plastic, I had to find a replacement pedal. Which is where the IS250 pedal comes into play.

The sensor plug is identical and the pedal can just be plugged in without any modification. However the mounting holes on the pedal assembly are reversed on the IS pedal, which requires you to open the pedal assembly and transplant the inards to the Yaris pedal.

Unfortunately the angle of the pedal shaft is totally wrong and you wouldn't get more than 20% in to the pedal travel before it hits the carpet, so you have to do some bending to the shaft to make it work.

Definitely makes the cabin look sportier. I still need to make some minor adjustments to the pedal, since it's angled back more than I would like, but otherwise feels very nice.

It was around $60 for the two pedal covers (clutch and brake) and the accelerator pedal. The IS250 pedal assembly was $60 from a local junkyard and the dead pedal I got off of flea-bay for $25.

The part numbers are 78101-20150 for the gas pedal (which requires a pedal assembly where the pedal is attached to the shaft via a pin) and for the manual transmission it's 31321-53010 for the brake and clutch, it's only for one, so you'll need to order two, one for each. For automatic transmission the part number is 47121-53010 I believe, but you may need to double check with a dealer to verify. No idea on the IS250 pedal assembly or the deadpedal part numbers though.

Yeah, I noticed those as well, but IMO they look way too cheap. Anywho this actually also changes how close the gas pedal is to the brake, so heel toe is easier.

I have throttle by cable on the RAV, so I can not use the pedal assembly... but I can use the pads

Right, you can use all the pads probably. That's what the MR2 owner (now I forget his name oh well) was saying was that the pedals are all the same size and even if it's DBW or cable, so long as the pedal shaft uses a pin to secure the pedal to the shaft it'll work, which is why it's such a common mod.

Of course, not so for us in Yaris land, but nothing a blowtorch and a hammer can't fix.

I have, except I bought the NCP131 Vitz RS pedal bracket from Amayama so I didn't have to bend my pedal arm. Bolted straight in like factory. Not sure if it works in the 2nd gens though.
