Christmas Gift!

My charming wife ordered a Christmas gift for me, or more appropriately, for our '06 Yaris. I am pumped to get my hands on it so I can prime, paint and clear coat it. I'll take the stock small spoiler off the RS and put it on our '08.

Haha. Very recent. I see you have a stubby antenna. Did that come on your car? I ordered a cheap stubby from eBay and it has terrible reception. I guess I got what I paid for. I need to find a good quality stubby.

I got it from a local chinese shop, for 2€ and the reception is actually the same.
Someone was kind enough to break the factory antenna so I had to buy something :p

Nice. I've gone back and forth (like many things with my car) on adding a spoiler .

OK, good to know that the inexpensive ones can actually work well. Thanks. I'll keep shopping around a bit.

Wow, that's neat! How did you attach the spoiler? Tape? Screws? Or both?

Thanks.

Picked up the wing today. It will need some high build primer and wet sanding as it has a few imperfections though nothing major. Should be a fun project. I already picked up the Duplicolor Color Match paint and clear coat.

Really sorry for ruining this... Before I install this beautiful wing, on a certain road, with my 1.3 I could go up to 208kmh (gps speed) in a slight downhill. So, after installing it, tried on the same road, under the same weather conditions, and wouldn't get more than 188kmh flat out. So in conclusion, it only adds drag and beauty points. No gains whatsoever (it only changes for the worse). My 0.02$

Interesting. I hope it doesn't adversely affect my gas mileage. I'm not a physicist but heard that drag increases exponentially with speed. I rarely exceed 120 km/h, so hopefully it won't have a significant impact on fuel economy. Right now - in winter - and according to my Torque Pro app - I am averaging 40.2 mpg (imperial).

It looks like you have a good wife that would think of a gift like that. My wife never comes up with car-related gifts. She has no clue what to buy. Even getting a new scent for my car is problematic for her.
So, my typical Christmas gifts are skincare, perfumes, and clothes. I don’t know how to ask her to get something for my car. I even gave her the part number of what I wanted. But she still gets me either new socks or a tie.
This year, I might revenge her and get her gift baskets full of sweets and not the jewelry that she expects. Maybe, I’ll hide a small gift inside there.

The cashmere house's premium brand, Gobi, has unveiled a new collection, some of which are very exquisite. You can make unique combinations with your current fall/winter attire thanks to their wide range of gorgeous colors.
