BOV... recirculating or vent to atmosphere?

I've read that while using a MAF for airflow metering, you should be using a recirculating BOV. If that's the case, do you want the MAF to be on the intake or discharge of the turbo?

I can see a venting BOV to be a problem if the MAF is before the turbo as you'd be expelling metered air and would run crazy rich when you let off the throttle.

Those with turbos, what's your setup?

I have the Turbonetics kit in my tC, it has a recirculationg BOV. I think many bolt-on kits work that way for the reasons you mention.

on the Yaris, my BOV is installed right on the intercooler.

If you install a recirculating BOV, the discharge end of the BOV should lead back to the intake - anywhere between the MAF and inlet of the turbo. T

My Yaris BOV vents to atmosphere.

And you didn't have any stalling issues from the system going rich when you let off the throttle?

I vent to atmosphere. My BOV is adjusted a little tight. Once in a while I will dye out if I stab the gas in first and then shift to neutral and let idle. This will cause that very rich idle condition. But during all other normal shifting and full throttle driving its just fine. I was thinking of recirculating just to see how the car reacts.
