2012 LE automatic aftermarket armrest

Hard to find an aftermarket console box/armrest for an automatic 2012 LE. Anybody ever had the same issue ?

I have the OEM option arm rest in my 2014, works fine. I don't think it was available in Canada, I had to buy one out of the US on eBay. Part number is PT413-52120.

I found one on Amazon for Yaris2006-2011. Checked measurements and I chanced it. Might have to modify it a little.
Thanks

Stay away. These aftermarket armrests are cheap pieces of crap. Nobody has really found a decent one. You can try it, your money, but prepare to be disappointed.

I don't expect any quality from China but couldn't find anything decent on this continent. Worst scenario, I'll make myself one.

Actually cancel your order. 06-11 simply will not fit in a '12.

You sure ? By the looks of it, looks like somewhat of a fit. I have a round cavity just behind the hand brake. Mine is automatic, not standard shift and it was rebuilt. I wonder if I have the original 2012 gear box or another year instead.

Yes I am sure. Both Gen2 and Gen3 have that rear cup holder that the armrest fits into. However, there are molding differences in the centre console which will prevent an Gen2 armrest from properly seating into the Gen3 console. There is a reason why fitment guides specify 06-11, or 12+.

Even my OEM+ one had to be fixed, the hinge on it is plastic and snapped off in the cold on me so I permanently bolted it down by drilling two holes through the storage compartment and getting some longer bolts from lowe's with some blue loctite. I can't tilt it back anymore but its been rock solid for 3+ years now lol

I followed your advice and wasn't too late to cancel it. I'll keep looking around or make myself one.
Thanks

No choice but to make my own.

It's held in place through a longer M6 x 70 mm bolt and perforated piece of 1/2" plywood shaped like the rear half moon cup hole in the back if original console. I then used strap iron and short wood screws tying the new console/armrest to the low original plastic console.
Cover is apiece of 1/2" plywood, 2" soft foam and imitation leather stapled to the underneath of the plywood. Painted the wood box. Screwed a cupboard door catch so the cover snaps in the wood box . Two small hinge so I can lift the cover and put stuff in the box. Don't need to spend countless hours on the internet to look for a comfortable armrest/center console anymore. Both elbows can nom rest while driving. Much more comfortable.
Thanks everyone for their help,
danyboy

Of course, if I had a standard shift I couldn't have done this.
