Do all Yaris have front bumper crash bar?

I just had the bumper off for the first time yesterday, to install my micro image fog lights.

Then, while searching for install instructions, I came across this picture from an installation help thread:

There's a very solid crash bar across the radiator!

This isn't in my car, there is nothing in front of my radiator; 2007 Toyota Yaris hatch MT. Do some models not have this extra protection, or did the dealership try to kill me (in yet another way), by removing it?

Assuming it's supposed to be there, now that I've discovered it - 100,000 miles after buying the car in 2007, can I get one installed under "unusual circumstances warranty", or would it be best to not let it be discovered, so as to avoid any records tied to the VIN listing the vehicle as unsafe?

All US Yaris have it and it is an important piece of the crash system.

I would definitely go back to the dealer on it.

I'll be emailing Fletcher Jones Toyota in Las Vegas. I moved, so won't be able to have them install one.

Edit: appears post history from 2007 isn't available since the accident, but in my post history there would be a reference to what else the dealership did. They disabled the brake lights by cutting the wire on top of the stop light switch... mafia style, as part of a free dealership oil change at 30,000 miles. I can't imagine they would've sold it to me like that -- the liability and all, so my best guess is they removed the crash bar while sabotaging safety (I had a flat tire leaving the dealership that day too).

Chances are that the car was involved in an accident, as that would be the only reason to remove that bar. Also look at the two pieces that stick out from the frame, that the radiator frame mounts to, as they are designed to crush when the bumper gets hit. OEM factory ones will be the color of the car. Replacement ones will just be black primer.

A new aftermarket bumper bar is only about $60 and an OEM one is about $130, but there are a bunch of other parts that go with it:

The part number is: 52131-52271
The mounting bolts (you need 4 of them): 90119-10382
The energy absorbers (you need 2): 52611-52120
The front bumper pad: 52421-52020

I was looking extensively at the two pieces on each side, as I found a broken plastic bracket (temperature sensor I believe) that I was trying to figure out how to mount. The two crush poles are intact, stock color, and do not appear damaged.

The VIN check doesn't mention accident...

If the thing you found has a round tip to it, it is the AC ambient temp sensor. It's bracket mounts to the back of the bumper bar.

That's the thing, yep. Round tip, attached to a bracket that was just hanging down. Didn't look very important.

Thanks for parts numbers!

That bar that you outlined is the bumper.

The painted plastic that covers it is offcially called a "bumper cover" and it offers no protection. It's purely cosmetic.
