as for u.....your on a yaris fourm....what u doing talkign about civics, lol

dont tell anyone but i was looking at the civic si. it was my drivers ed car (not the si but a brand new civic) inside is nice but i think they are fugly. and relaly, the civic base line (dont even think its comes with wheels) is like 16,995 and the si is like 32,000. FUCK THAT!! y am i gonna get a car i dont like and is a shit load more expensive(mind u i didn't bargain for it, he told me that and i said thank u, see u later) if i got that, it would have been to show off, i didn't even like the way it drove. my 2 top choices were yaris and soul (new soul sport is ouber nice!!) both less then 25,000. next choice would have been Hyundai, basically any everyday car they sell for 20,000-30,000(all felt the same) ....and then would have been the Mazda 3 for $35,000. i test drove a shit load of cars and my 2 top pics, yaris and soul, lol. no civic.

I know the cars up there cost more than they do here, but I didnt think it was that much more. I only asked about the Si sedan because the price here is about $22,000, but can be had for closer to $20,000.

You made a good choice, and thats because it is what you want. You will make the payment. So you are the one who needs to be happy.

Thats a nice looking 5dr !!

[QUOTE=yaris2010RS;431298]..... it has to be 5dr(or insurance will have their way with me)

And FYI it will have more HP the 98% of the other yaris's and thats cuz i'm driving and i've got my pully kit and intake all lined up for summer. jsut another thought, hasn't been proven but i could see the RS being more aero dynamic... jsut a thought

QUOTE]

You will need that extra HP in order to be able to pull all of that extra weight from the S package. Why do you have to have a 5dr for insurance?

well i got the 5rd yes for insurance reasons but also, its kinda gay, the RS package only can come on the 5dr. it looks so much better 3dr but i needed the lip kit. also if i'm gonna have this car for about 10-15 years, gonna have a family eventually, lol. its my sporty mini van, lol.

and yeah, i went in and they said all in all over 30,000 off the lot for the si. and really i dont like it at all.

thanks barber, i'll keep it in mind and have been already shopping around the fourm to see who lives in the area and who could give me a hand for some installs, the extra hands are always great. i have a garage and most tools needed. even a few random wtf could i ever use this tool for, oh wait, right here, perfect, lol.

okay okay, i'm home, lol, long day of amazing yaris!! lol, i have 230km on her already, lol.

so anyways, i picked it up from the dealer at 6 and it was so sick!! not only are the seats bucket seats but they are really really soft foam. was told to keep it under 80 for the most part but if i want to drive hwy have to accelerate and decelerate (90-110 within 30seconds to 1min)

jsut a few tihngs about the car, i had said it was all around disks, i lied, disk front, drum back. interior very very nice, nice colours and stiching too. hate the orange dash, i knew this from day one but i really really need to change that. system i think is a-okay. the rs apparently comes with an upgraded audio system but i only thought the extra was a 6 in dash HU but it might have better speakers. the drive by wire is gonna take alot of getting use to.... for the most part its fine (driving at a steady speed) but to take off the gas has a "dead zone" then becomes very sensitive. if i dont get it within a week or so gonna get a hold of garm and get drive by cable. clutch feels very nice and shifting after figuring out(for the most part) the drive by wire the shift is really really smooth. stops on a dime, turnes on a dime and accelerates....well i haven't pushed it yet but as far as i can tell, for a little yaris, not that bad. tires look really really good, i think they will be nice when it finally snows.

sometihng i'm confussed about...has anyone done drifting or powersliding yet? i notice if the wheels at all slip the trac flashes and i have a trac off button..... i didn't think a standard could have trac.... will it jsut flash to inform me or will it do something? and i'm gonna be pissed if it will apply breaking-to-each-wheel-in-event-i'm-sliding-sideways (B.T.E.W.I.E.I.S.S system) or i believe its B.A. (breaking assist) [maybe B.S. who knows..] cuz if it has BA i believe it cannot be turned off..... does anyone know how to disable it if it does have it (fix the problem before i even find out if the car has a problem.....that productivity!)

overall, love it so far

oh, except one thing.... the new car smell....well, its not so fresh or new car smelling... i personally think it smellls like ciggerette smoke and b.o. and new car all mixed together....my theory is the guy that drove it off the truck isn't too fresh of a guy, lol. my salesman said he was gonan call on monday to see how its going i'm gonna tell him to sniff it.... kinda nasty. hopefiully it will go away by monday but i love the new car smell, i can't believe i'm gonna miss out on it

...and finally this thread can come to an end.

Car looks great. Congrats!

Mine is one of the first on the road in Canada, and here I am looking at the newest one on Canadian roads. Was a bit concerned about how you'd feel about her after having been in a 'rolla S for a week. Take it easy during the break in period.

Can't believe that only 230 klics in and you're talking about drifting!

Why would you have to get the 5 dr for your insurance? The RS package is not limited to just the 5 dr. In my region, it comes on the 3 dr and the Sedan.
