Rotated my Drag Dr24 rims, now the center cap won't fit on one rim.

Strangest thing, like the title says I rotated my rims/tires today for the first time since buying them(about 9k miles). When I went to lock down the drivers side front(was the drivers rear) I noticed the center cap was now hitting the axle shaft well before any portion of the cap could be seated. I switched caps with the rest, no luck. I rotated the rear back to the front and it fit fine. I checked the stampings on the back of the rims and they are identical.

If I had to guess(which I do at this point) I'd say that one rim is out of spec. I've never come across this before, I even took it to two separate shops and nobody at either had seen that before. Finally I went to see the shop I got them from and they were also baffled. They're contacting the Mfg. on Monday.

Anybody here come across this problem before???

Do you have centering rings? It is possible that the centering ring stayed with the driver's rear axle instead of the wheel.

I've done it, and seen others do it as well. One ring stuck to the hub, while another is in the wheel about to be mounted. Brief WTF period, followed by quick realization of the situation.

It's not the hubcentric rings.
