You can't disable it without a scan tool. I had mine disabled for free.

the chime makes sure that you buckle up, so when, if, a bigger vehicle, basically every other vehicle, hits you, or you hit another vehicle, you stay in your seat. if you dont like your seat belt for dumb reasons what-so-ever you could always get a motorcycle and kill yourself on that just as easy.

Scan tool is the easiest way, or you can unplug/cut the wire goint to the seatbelt and short it out. This will make it think that the seatbelt is always clicked in.

scanguage only communicates with engine... you need an actual Toyota scan tool to communicate with other control units such as SRS, ABS, HVAC, Seat belts, etc...

Well looks like i will have to contact the dealer with the problem and see what i can have done. if they wont touch it then i will just wire it so it allways thinks the belt is plugged in, nothing bad will happen except that if my passenger doesnt have there seat belt on it wont notify me, this i can live with. |

Yup I agree with Katana, I have the same prob with gym bag/backpack setting it off. Though annoying it stops by the time I leave my street.
