Michelin Tires
OK, I am old enough to remember the 60's, and have experience in purchasing enough rubber to supplement a 3rd world country. Any-Who, The best dam tire I have ever purchased was Michelin and am curious if y'all have any REAL WORLD feedback on the "fat man" brand?

I am currently running Michelin Hydroedge tires on my ride. After having them on for more than 20k, the feedback from me for the dry and wet surface is very positive.
It still got tons of tread life left. Especially it runs like a champ on wet surface and have the highest tread life within Michelin family. However, it only perform average in snow condition so it would be a great 3 season tire.

Michelin and BFG are my favs
I currently run BFG g-force super sport a/s.... they have the same technology as the Pilot PS2's at a fraction of the cost.... and they really grab the road in all weather

I've used X-Ice and X-Ice 2 tires, fantastic for winter.
I've also used Symmetry, Harmony, and Hydroedge, which does some amazing work in the wet. I don't care too much about dry weather performance, I want to be able to stop quickly in the rain without hydroplanning through an intersection. Good treadlife too. Unfortunately they don't have anything in my size, so I have to go with Yokohama AVID H4S this summer. |

A question I've pondered myself-and other than Toyo, I also think nothing beats Michelin for overall quality. Once the factory Bridgestones(which in my opinion have been a good tire on this car, but are pricey to replace with the same) wear out I'm going to the Harmony which seems to be the only Michelin that comes in the factory 185/60-15 size. Michelin's seem to balance better and maintain that balance over the life of the tire. I've tried cheaper off brand tires-they've always disappointed me after 10K miles of wear.

Someone once said not to buy by brand, but to buy by model. Every brand makes a crappy tire.
Harmony isn't bad, but Hydroedge is much better. |

my dad has michelin hydro edge on his malibu and seems to like them for year round use....despite they fact theyre not really meant for winter....
but he buys michelin because theyre softer than other brands so theyre a bit better in winter than other all season tires. so he buys those because my parents dont do enough mileage to wear the tires down, they often crack from the sun/UV radiation before they get down to the wear bars....
