Okay i didn't have time to order spacers which you will need or it'll hit on the window when you roll it down so we're going to use the factory spacer. The factory speaker is built into it so i just cut it out and threw away the speaker, drill some holes to mount the new speaker. I may eventually go with mdf spacers but for now i had to improvise and use the Plastic factory spacer.

When removing the speaker and spacer from the door drill all the way through the rivet, i made the mistake of trying to force one rivet out and cracked the spacer on one side where it mounts.

If you plan on putting an amp to them they get really crisp, my amps not tuned yet, that'll take a while especially with my work schedule. My doors aren't deadened like yours are so i'm sure you'll have way better sq.

I just ordered the 1200 Brutus today. I debated between the 1600 watt and this 1200, i plan on eventually getting the Alpine Type r's and i believe the 1200 can push them perfectly. Right now i have the Kicker Cvr's which are rated at 400 rms depending on the box, and i believe the Type R's are rated at 500 rms, i'll just need to make sure to buy the Dual 2 ohm so i can run at 1 ohm and crank out the 1200 watts which will run me 600 rms to each sub. Or the dual 4 ohm and push 450 rms to them.

This set-up was just a quickie, i done caught the audio bug and want to do a nicer, cleaner set-up with the amps on each side of the trunk and a bigger subwoofer box. For the X-overs they'll be in that same place just behind the door with a cut-out so the hifonics logo will be showing and a piece of plexiglass over the front. You guys have also influenced me to deaden the doors and go for a more sq type set up.

The next thing i'm going to get will be a battery and see if i can hold off @ 14 volts with a big 3 upgrade if not i've heard of a place here that charges a dollar an amp to do the alternator upgrade and redo my factory alternator.

The Install continues ...

My crossovers i tucked up under the dash so they are not exposed. You actually screwed them into the door panels?

Is that a Rhetorical Question ? Yes they are screwed in, eventually i will cut into the door where you can just see the front portion of the X-over and put plexiglass in front.
