When will the Yaris hit the showrooms at dealers?

Anyone know when the Yaris hatchback and sedan will be at the dealers? I see the cars are on Toyota's website (very cool btw) but when will these cars go on sale? Thanks.

I think the car is coming out in March in the US. I'm gonna call local dealerships tomorrow and ask when I'll see it in dealership for test drive.

Let's say you only want a base liftback with ABS with power locks in silver? Or, all the dealers will deck out the cars with all available options, making it impossible to get a base version? I hope not!

My girlfriend and I both have two-seater cars. We also have two dogs. We use a 1993 Civic SI hatchback to truck the dogs around. The Yaris would be a replacement for the Civic; so I don't need a lot of extra in the car.

From what my salesman said. To get the car you want with what you want on it you have to preorder. That they come off the boat and land in portland I believe he said. And thats where they add some of the options. I'm hoping that my pre-order will allow them to actually build the exact car I want.

But my salesman could be just giving me the company buisness. It kind of sounded like the portland people phone the dealership and tell what the dealership will get. I'm hoping my dealership mentions the exact car I want so they can send that one.

It shouldn't be a problem to get a Base Unit........or "Stripped down" as it is sometimes referred to............Looks as if Power Locks come only with the "Power Package" (PP) or (PQ). I will check and see if the existing Toyota Security System ( $560) can be retro-fitted to the Yaris...........More on this later............

Dealerships get an allotment of vehicles. The factory only makes vehicles with the packages listed. They only make a certain amount of each of them.

Toyota dealerships don't tell the factory what to send them, Toyota tells the dealerships what they are getting.
