For Trade
I want to trade my front tinted (35%) windows for someone's OEM, non-tinted front windows. Straight trade. I have a sedan, for clarification, and am located in NorCal. I'm preparing to scrape it off, but if someone wants to do a trade, that'll be better.

I love momentum.

Just scrape it off man, swapping windows is a PITA. Just get a clothes steamer and it will literally peel right off. I've removed window tint a few times.

hehehe, I figured someone would have to tint their windows, so I thought it would be a win-win situation. Oh well, I'll be scraping it off...don't have a clothes steamer.

seriously it is not hard to get that stuff off, it just takes a little patience. Way cheaper IMO than the labor to trade out front windows and get it right.

when i had to get my tint removed from my front windows, the guy charged me $40, seems easier to go that route then to go to the trouble of swapping out two windows, especially if there manual,

Have you tried going to the Dr and getting a waiver to have tint darker than legal due to horrible migraines triggered by the sun? Then you won't have to worry about fix-it tickets anymore.

hahaha, I was just seeing if anyone wanted to trade to save them some money. I have to open up my doors to align the passenger side window since it goes off a bit when closing, and to fix one of the switches on the driver side (left rear won't work, so I have to use the switch on the actual left rear door).

Yeah, same here, but that's $40 bucks that I could use else where (like paying for the ticket ). I'll also try to scrounge up more money to buy a vent visor kit to help out with the increased heat due to no more front tint.

hahaha, that would require tests, which I can't/won't falsely do since I'm trying to be an RN. I have a better chance using my mom's hypertension and her meds for it (photosensitivity side effect). lol. But that won't pass so easily since she doesn't live with me. hahahahaha...

IMHO, the best way to remove tint is to remove the window and lie it on the grass. saturate the tint surface with windex. cover the entire window with a plastice garbage bag. Leave in the sun for a couple of hours. then the tint will just peel right off, you can almost wipe it off.
