When to change plus on 2012 Yaris w 30k miles

I am not sure, but I think my mechanic wants to change my spark plugs at 30k miles.

I thought they were good for 100k miles.

Also, do I need to clean out my glove compartment for him to replace the cabin air filter?

Do not allow mechanic to go anywhere near your plugs!!!!!!!!!!

What is he, like 82 years old and has never heard of iridium?

Lol @ weeyari but I agree. I have 102k on my 2010. Other than a bunch of oil changes and a few wiper blades I have only replaced the engine air filter twice and two tires. I like the car so much I just purchased a 2016 so I can give the other to a grandchild. Unless you think there is a problem leave it be.

Lordy... those plugs should still be like new at 30K miles.

How to change your cabin air filter in under a minute:

Don't bother "inspecting" the air filter. Simply changing it requires the same amount of work. Repeat once or twice a year or so.

At 30K miles, the plugs DON'T need to be changed.

You can buy an OEM quality cabin filter on ebay for under $5 (including shipping), and change it yourself in about a minute. You don't need to empty your glovebox. Kar98 has given you a good DIY link above.

I bought this combo pack and received it in just 2 days: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Engine-Cabin...RUY76u&vxp=mtr
