WTB: Engine Cover!!!

Anyone know where I can get a engine cover for my baby?

It's a 2007 yaris sedan and the markings say "2NZ-FE"

I HATE seeing it look like this: uploadfromtaptalk1410477608918.jpg

Looks quite clean for an '07 . Try a salvage yard or order one through Toyota parts department . Look at local dealer(s) online and get discount coupon at that site under parts department . Removed the cover of a 2000 Chevy Prizm ( Corolla ) for a few days of driving and noticed more engine noise . Put it back on .

It doesn't look like the 2nz-fe comes with an engine cover.

It also looks like the 1nz cover will fit, but you are missing the threaded part to bolt it on.

Thanks, I try to keep it clean and could you drop some links maybe.

That's one of the reasons I want the cover, to cut back on some of the engine noise and -1 on the naked engine

If you compare the cover with your engine, you should find out.

Below, circled in red are the bolts that hold the cover.

Those look okay to me. The holes have thread in them and the bolts can be reused right? uploadfromtaptalk1410494300470.jpguploadfromtaptalk1410494306646.jpg

2nz fe and 1nz fe both have covers. if they are the same, that i dont know. but they look identical.

besides, the 2nz is the newer version of the 1nzfe engine (albeit at a less displacement), i dont see any reason why the newer engine of the same family be without a cover.

back to topic, here from where i am they should be a plenty 2nz covers (city/bad traffic/more 2nz than 1nz), but hey, with shipping it will probably cost around the same, if not more.

In some markets (i.e. Japan) it did come with one and the part number for the cover is the same as for the 1NZ. Nobodywise's engine bay does not have the threaded studs on the two engine mounting points or on the two harness mounts, but we took measurements and the dimensions are identical the to 1NZ. He can either add studs and crown nuts (as ours mount) or simply use appropriate length M5 bolts to mount one.

Here's a picture of a Japanese one:
