WOHOOO tomorrow I am quitting my job!

If you quit recently or really want to quit post your resignation ideas how you quit or how you told off the owner on your way out.

You don't want to burn bridges. You don't want to have to eat crow later. Then if you need a reference later, you don't face the consequence of your own stupidity.

Man, I have walked off jobs with a ciggie still burning in the ashtray on my desk. Of course I had no intention on using these jobs as a reference. ;)

I had been at my last job for nearly 9 years when I was fired while I was on vacation (yep). Came back to find no job. I came home at 9 a.m. and started drinking beer, wondering how I was gonna pay for my house and child support.

I could have either gone to work for another d*ck that I would end up hating, or go out on my own. I started my own business, took my computer customers I had at the old job, made lots of cash, and worked at it for nearly 10 years. Never regretted making that decision once.

I think that it would be awesome to quit via sky writing with a biplane

or better yet by sending a box of Extenze or Viagra with a note in it saying, "sorry, but this just doesn't stay hard enough to keep my interest." lmao

It's a nice place to be in life to be able to leave on your terms.

I'd tweek the words to The Breakfast Club letter to Mr. Vernon.....

"Dear Mr. Vernon, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was that we did wrong...and what we did was wrong, but we think you're crazy to make us write this essay telling you who we think we are. What do you care? You see us as you want to see us... in the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. You see us as a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal. Correct? That's the way we saw each other at seven o'clock this morning. We were brainwashed."

Just tell him someone made you an offer, and you've decided to take it (you don't have to be too specific). If you stay in the same profession, people eventually find out stuff so don't say too much, just say that you've enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity (even if you thought every day was hell)

Thank the guy (even if you think he's a d.ck)

Don't say too much, be polite and brief.

The temptation of saying "I'm leaving because I can't stand this f'n place and you can shove it" is great but don't do it. You never know.

Choice #1: Grab a POST IT note and a black Sharpie pen. Write the word 'IN' on the POST IT note. Then take your garbage can, place it on the top of your desk and attach the POST IT note to the side of the can. Turn off the lights on your way out and don't look back, just smile as you walk out the door.

Choice #2: Go into your boss's office and from his extension make a call to his Doctor's office. When you get his receptionist, identify yourself as you boss and very sternly, demand the lab results for your syphilis test. Let them know they're facing a lawsuit if you don't get an answer fast!

That is the way it should be done.

How I would do it? Well let us just say violence is my first love, so I would have to have some great connections on getting out of the country fast.
