Chances are you will have to buy then from a welding supply company or electrical supply company. 8awg terminals are too small Steel will work for a plate but will rust and corrode quickly with the moisture under the hood. It will need to be zink plated or galvenized steel. Copper or aluminum will work much better Like I said before in one of my other posts at $21 shipped for a kit, I'm not making $$$ on these things really when you factor in the costs of all the materials to make them. Aluminum, terminals, wire, shrink wrap (if used), all hardware, zip ties. not to mention the time it takes to make one and the shipping costs.

What I recommend, is that anyplace where a grounding point is attached. Is to make sure the bonding point has no type of insulation between the surface area where the ground is to be connected. To do this correctly, 1st, remove any paint and corrosion at the hole of attachment. Burnish the area with a small high speed round wire brush. The brush center guide pin should be the same diameter of the hole. The brush itself should only remove paint around the area where the bolt head or nut and terminal lead makes contact with the metal surface. For the best results these small wire brushes can be attached to any drill, air or electric. 2nd, Clean and treat the point where the bond is to be made. 3rd, Attach the ground lead with the proper size hardware. 4th, Test your bond with a mulitmeter, you should have very little ohm resistance reading on your meter. 5th, Touch up any bare metal surface with paint.
