lowering springs + adjustable coilovers
what would happen if you used lowering springs on adjustable coil overs (height wise)? would it allow you to lower the car further than the coil over kit or would the lowering springs be taller than the coil over springs?

I believe lowering springs are different diameters than "coilover" springs. And if you happen to be able to use them, I'm sure you'll only increase ride height. I think most coilover springs are shorter than lowering springs.

There are company's that make different aftermarket springs just for coilovers. Eibach and swift are a few that I know of. You would have to measure the inside diameters of the coil over springs top and bottom. Then find a spring that has the same diameters that is shorter. The only issue i see with that is because you are lowering it lower then the manufacturer intended, some shocks wont be able to be adjusted to the new height.

im on Stance coilover springs on Cusco coilover system. You'll want to get spring rate/spring height combo that allows you the adjustment you want without resorting to removing locking rings or preloading a bunch as your last ditch effort for more low.
Im on 8k/9k, the 8k are 8in tall, had to remove 1 lock ring and preloaded a bit, the 9ks are 7in, which are perfect. They come as pairs and at the time the 7in stiff springs werent available. http://www.ebay.com/itm/STANCE-Suspe...ccc809&vxp=mtr

Most coilover springs are shorter than lowering springs. Also the front lowering springs have a massive ID so they will not fit around the coilover and sit on the provided perch. Also I find that those of us tracking or going super low, have all opted for shorter/stiffer coilover spring upgrades which makes the lowering springs obsolete.

You can order shorter springs, and you can order custom spring rates. When purchasing, make sure the springs you buy match the height adjustment perches, which are not all the same diameter.
I have Silk Roads, but to use the 10k springs I wanted in the rear, I had to switch to Megan perches. I can sell Megan springs in a variety of rates, and I can also order perches for anyone that wants them.

Ive ordered i think two seperate sets of Megan springs in addition to the ones included with the coilovers and always through Jeff at Micro Image, they beat Megans own pricing on those and offer soooooo many different sizes/springs rates. Before you complete the order, he will make sure its exactly what you need based on your final goals/budget.

With megan coilovers and bc racing coilovers you can slam the car to the ground so low the crank can touch the ground
