I run a GT28, and you give up quite a bit of low end power -- takes a lot longer to spool than a GT25, even with the smaller A/R choice. At least 600-1000 rpm.

I would run a GT25 to 200 whp or so.

The OBX parts are designed for an xB. It will not fit correctly on a Yaris with modifications. And the more I look @ it I think you will have an issue of the turbo hitting the block. Notice that the flange the turbo bolts on to it is in an angle.

i understand its for an xb, i have the greddy turbo kit for the xb, both this and my kit the turbo sits up top (top mount) by the valve cover not the block.

Yea and OBX stuff used to be TERRIBLE, they sold everything through ebay back in the day and it was garbage. I am not sure if their quality is improved or not, but I wouldn't risk it.

Just realized that it is a top mount. That even less likely to fit. The Yaris has less space than an xB. A part of the Yaris's engine is under the cowl. An xB doesnt have that issue. Also I know for a fact that the down pipe wont work. When I first made a mock up of my turbokit it was top mount, trust me when I tell you, its not going to work.

i too agree that the engine bay in a yaris is tight. but this is an echo and the engine bay is close to the size of an xb if not the same, the greddy turbo dp fit with no issues at all, why would this be that much different?

we have alot of space to work with, and if the wiper tray needs to be trimmed im sure we an figure that out.

the cb and echo motors are mounted closer to the radiator than the yaris, I think this is the point about how much of it sits under the cowl in back.

Only one way to settle it, right? Buy it.

have you considered one of newer style variable vane turbos, or do they need fancy computer control to work?

I know Honda has one on their RDX SUV. And I'm sure ford is using them on the Eco-boost engines.
