My Home Computer

My home computer died last night... I feel like I lost a friend...

I have been building my own PCs since 1994, so I'm sure I can re-build it... But how long will it last for? Another month, Maybe?

I built that thing back in 2001 and it was a beast back then, and was up until it's death Last night...

Tonight will definitely be a drinking night... and in all honesty I am done with PCs... Apple here I come!

Anyone got a used Mac for sale?

Hahahah Sorry to hear that, man... I used to be crazy about building PCs too, way back then... But now it's still fun, but more of a chore, ever since I got my first laptop. Plus I just no longer have the time for all that...

But, for nostalgia's sake, here's a pic of my old yellow beast, the BMFC-XL (Bad MotherF******g Computer - XL)

Blenjar... Do you have a pic of the Model... If it's the one I'm thinking of I might just take you up on the deal... We will see!

Chino... New Macs are about 1-2 grad... and so are Coilovers for my car... And I would rather have Coilovers then a new Mac... RIGHT NOW... and I have to stretch my money as much as possible... I'm not rich you know!

New Macs are the only ones worth having.

Yeah new Intel-based macs are interesting as they can run Windows, just in case you feel homesick

Or, just hit up ebay and find a good deal on a relatively recent notebook...

Chino... I know, I know... But I have to check to see how my Credit is before I go out and spend 2 grand on a new laptop...

Actually I am a registered Apple Developer... So I do get a Special Discount... But never the less still expensive!

Thomas... I'm getting too old for a used laptop... The hassle that come along with used "All in One" machines are too much for me right now...

But believe you me... I have been scouting eBay all morning! Just in case!

PC/Mac, it's still a computer and prone to the same problems. Things will die, software will become corrupt. It's all in architecture and presentation. I'm getting rather tired of building my own stuff as well. Are you looking for an apple laptop or personal computer?

I used to hate laptops and Macs until the very second I bought my iBook g4. I would still have it if I hadn't had to "trade it" for a MacBook a couple of months back due to school (I need Windows to program... damn Windows API's)

On the desktop side, however, I'm still a believer in custom building them, and if it weren't because of the cost, I would upgrade my rig's internal right now.

Just hit Newegg and check what the cost of an AMD X2 cost is. AMD cut their prices to compete with Intel's Core Duos.

I'm running a custom built AMD 64 X2 computer right now and I'm pleased, especially for the price! I'm always up for a good deal.
