Check your facts first man.
Judging from the JD Powers survey, it looks like it would be a GOOD thing for Nissan to "joint the ranks" of the American manufacturers...eh?

alexK nice choice. i'm just curious... did you get the sedan with the power package? or just the base? because you said you don't have stereo but i dunno if you have power windows/side mirrors/locks etc.

i find toyota packages weird because once you get a yaris with power package, then you get an integrated HU which is hard to get replaced with an better aftermarket one.

Oh, yea I can see that, but I was even just referring to an 1.8 S model, comparing it to my LE hatchback Package B

Actually, was just looking at the Versa brochure.

Unless you go get the 1.8SL, you caht get a MP3 CD-player, and you dont have the option to add a centre arm rest either.

And I dont think you can add at all the compass/outside temp feature I added to my Yaris (on the reivew view mirror)

That's what I want is the SL, CVT's not available on the S trim either. My local dealership quoted me 17,018 for a SL CVT with Convienience package (ikey, bluetooth) after Destination fee and before tax and title, pretty good price in my eyes.

I love how the package names differ in the US from Canada, and even between somes states in teh US.

Up here, on the 1.8SL, there is only one package u can add (the one you mention)l, but its called the "Technology Package" not the Convenience package

Here, on the S you can only add the power package and can't get the CVT (6-speed manual or 4-speed auto only) or the 6 disc indash changer. The SL comes standard with all power and the changer, You get the CVT if you opt for the non manual, and you can add the Convenience (iKey and Bluetooth), Audio (upgraded speakers and subwoofer), Sunroof, and Satellite packages... unfortunately, the Audio, Sunroof, and Satellite packages are all linked, can't get one without the other... so I figure, I'll just upgrade the speakers and put a sub in myself, then add in the XM Tuner (standard Nissan part used on ALL Nissans and Infinitis with XM) I never really have used the sunroof on my I30... so I don't figure I need it on the Versa, besides, that's just one more complication if I attempt a Carbon Fibre roof.

Here neither.

I cant get the CVT on an 1.8S.
Or the 6-CD player. Nor MP3 capability.

You need to get the 1.8 SL "Technology" package to get those features.

That's funny, all three are standard on the US SL Auto.
