what is the idle speed on stock 09 HB
I installed my tach, but it has a pain in the butt, PPR thing. So to get it to actual rpms, i need a reference.

I believe the idle speed is somewhat variable and changes as the ECU "learns."

From the 2007 Engine Mechanical Repair Manual
(5) Inspect the engine idling speed. Idling speed: 550 to 650 rpm for manual transaxle 650 to 750 rpm for automatic transaxle NOTICE: • Turn all the electrical systems and the A/C off. • Inspect the idling speed with the cooling fan off. • When checking the idling speed, shift the transmission to either the neutral position or the parking position.

^ let the engine fully warm up.
go take a 1hr road trip before taking your measures. Mine idle's at 900-1000rpm, from when i start up in the morning and till school (30mins drive, ~17km) Other than that, when the engine is well warm up and seen some good high rev. I get a nice 500rpm idle. i drive manual btw. |
