Intake Update

Sorry it has been so long guys, but with the economy the way it is, the Yaris project took a backseat to other more profitable intake systems at Dynatek. I have done everything I can to convince the owner that the intake should be produced. We have finished the testing, already have the finished design ready for production but the cost of production versus the very small profit margin just isn't as appealing to the owner as the $5,000-$6,000 system we sell for the V8 guys. What I have done is to take this upon myself and pay for the production run to show the potential of this type niche market. I am going to get the intakes produced on my own dime. I am working with a couple of different fabrication shops to do the short production runs. I will post the completion date as soon as it is finalized. Again, sorry for the delay but the choice was between having and not having the intake available.

Thanks for the update Richard, and thanks for funding the project from your own pocketbook. That is remarkable. I'll be patiently (yet anxiously ) awaiting the day you finish them up!

because these are gonna be built by several small shops, what are the chances of them being 'not all the same' ?

sooo this is now pushed back to what summer/fall?
"the Yaris project took a backseat to other more profitable intake systems" is a funny way of putting it and not something id expect to hear from mr holdner. i assume the xd/ts intake is also on hold due to the failing economy and better selling products you offer........

Actually this should not be much of a surprise...

This is what is happening to many companies all across the US and their international ramifications...

I work for a US company here in Costa Rica and over the last few weeks several radical measurements have been put in place in order to dramatically decrease the expense in order to save the cash needed to sort the crisis....
All companies are saving their cash right now and putting must of their projects and investments on hold.

Yeah... is a shame for all of us but is just the way the things are right now...

Hopefully the crisis won't extend beyond this year...

Richard, thx for your efforts and please keep us posted

Though I have been pushing the yaris intake project from Day, the reality is that the owner ofthe business makes the ultimate decision, so the comments posted regarding cost effectiveness of the project didn't really come from me. That said, I sure like to know why you'd have me post anything but the truth-the formum members deserve no less.

Thank you! I don't know why anyone would question you when you will put your own money on the line to produce an intake for the economoblie.

sorry if i hit a sore nail there but your enthusiasm through this whole thing on both forums has been motivating to some. i laughed after reading your comments posted as im sure so did others. i apologize if i often type what im thinking but at least its the truth rather than blow smoke up your ass. i'll be waiting for updates like everyone else seeing as now there's plenty of time to save now.....

Rock, stop being a dick.

Mr. Holdener, thanks for taking on this project by funding it. I hope it pays off! I can't make use of the intake (Blitz s/c owner), but will very patiently wait to hear about the header. Thanks again from YarisWorld. The choice between waiting and not having this performance option available is an easy one.
