Black Book Value?
Does anybody here have access to vehicle price evaluation books or software?
I need to determine the value of my 2008 Yaris Sedan with Aero Package so I may negotiate with my insurance company. Auto Trader lists no Aero Package Sedans within 1000 kl of me. Which could be good.

Thanks Exiwolfman. I'll drive the rental and try that after the public library.

Total Loss. Snow storm last week. Roads in Burlington were super greasy. A chick in an 2015 AWD Infinity Q50S on summer performance tires spun from the inside of a curve across into my oncoming lane where I broad sided her. No charges due to conditions. She got her drivers side rear door punched in. I lost my ride. More later after the insurance dust settles.

ugh this angers me to no end. How is it that it is not deemed her fault? Regardless of her tire choice, she was going too fast for the conditions she was driving in.
In theory this means I can drive a corner at 50km/h on a 60km/h road spin out and hit someone, but it's not my fault because the pavement in that area was "slippery". A driver is in charge of his/her vehicle anytime they decide to drive on a public road regardless of conditions. If you lack common sense to know how to drive for the conditions than you are negligent and should not be out driving in those said conditions. Hope all settles well for you Muskoka, I vote take her to court as well to cover any losses you incurred.

Um what? Here is the USA if you lose control and go into the oncoming lane it's all your fault regardless of conditions i.e. snowstorm, tornado, or even an advertising clown.

And you'd be right to think so...but that's not how things work in Canada. Insurance companies have a monopoly out here, and they do all they can to NOT put 100% of the blame on one single driver in the event of an accident. That way they can increase the insurance rates of all of the drivers involved and make more money off them.

Sorry to hear, hopefully you can take off the extra parts and sell it to them bone stock, since they will give you next to nothing for the car. Glad your not injured! I was in the Toronto, Mississauga area on Monday for the day, i found people are driving faster and just don't care anymore. Almost like Montreal driving but getting pretty close! Even if they had winter tires on the SVU they would think there more invincible. You should get between 4000 to 8000$, but you'll have to prove alot why you think it is worth that. Dealer service bill, rust proving, winter tires, if you take it back to stock.

No injuries so No-Fault insurance kicks in. Each drivers insurance company covers their own clients vehicle.
