Sirius Antenna questions
I drive a 09 Yaris 5 door hatch that has the factory, satellite ready stereo. I want to get Sirius radio installed. I have bought the Sirius SCC1 Connect Universal Tuner and the iSimple ISTY11 Satellite Radio Interface.
But what about the antenna? Will the factory stereo's antenna work? The Sirius Tuner comes with an antenna. How and where is the best place to put it? Are there other concerns I should be addressing? Any help is appreciated. |

You definitely need use the antenna that came with the satellite tuner. Attached is the OEM add-on tuner install guide, which has the installer bring the antenna out the hatch and next to the radio antenna.
I personally would first try the antenna on the dash, or just under the flat area in front of the speedometer. 09+ SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO TUNER.pdf |
