so it's not really a tow hook for use then? just for looks?

i'm just busting chops.. i like the way it looks, and since my last bumper got painted and the painter lost the "plug" i may actually go against everything i stand for and buy one

From past experiences with NST, I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the hook...I'm betting the colors are excellent compliments to our paint. I'm going to snatch one of these up too.

Well, I'd rather have a black one. But I would like to see the dark grey vs. the MM paint.

I'm positive that the tow hook will be of great quality.

But I'm sure your car is more of a salt-color than black right now.

Okay, I'm done threadjacking. :D

This Tow Hook is more of a REAL DEAL than any other tow hooks available on the market...
I would even bet that it is stronger than the OEM hook.

I do not recommend you standing on it, breaking your neck, and then badmouthing NST because of your actions.

Of course, I'm busting chops.

IF you want/need a REAL tow hook, then this should be your number one option.

MORE PICS, MORE USER REVIEWS, less thread jacking please

Got mine today. Unfortunately this will probably be a show only piece for me as the bumper on the xD rubs hard against the hook when turning past two times :\

I would also be interested if they would design a rear hook to match the looks and quality of this one :P

Got mine today. Looks rad (if that's what the kids still say today). I just had to stand on it to prove the urban myth mentioned in this thread.

I wish I could make it deploy with pushing a button....gotta say I hate the exposed hole now showing the frame underneath the bumper cover. That just wont do...gonna have to get the red exterior paint out and touch that up pronto.

When people ask me about it i'm going to tell them its a Toyota exclusive atmospheric probe. Chances are, some will believe this.

It will also make an easy weapon to smack a thug around in a parking lot. Its SOLID.

Love the thing you said about "smacking a thug around"

On a serious note though... might I suggest cutting a small hole in your OEM "bumper cover" just large enough to allow your tow hook to screw into? This would help with covering the frame underneath!

Good luck!

I have to laugh a little and I don't mean to threadjack again...but standing on the towhook is completely useless. The towhook is never going to be completely vertically loaded so it doesn't really have to have a large amount of strength in that direction, however it will have way more strength than needed to hold the weight of one human. Try pulling on it with all the force you can, or better yet use it to TOW THE CAR! Then report back with stories of success. :)
