Suggestion on tires

About to pull the trigger on some rims.. these will by my daily drivers, need some suggestions on tires and sizes.

Haven't got alot of experience with good everyday tires that will last a long time. tired of buying new tires every year.

Konig Candy 4x100 15x7.5 ET+30

suggestions on tires and sizes,

thanks,

Oooh... I like wheels with an outside rim on them.

You might consider some +35 or greater wheels as the +30's might stick out a little on the front. I'm running these 15x7 +35 Rota's and they're just barely under the front fenders.

i just got a set Nitto Neo Gens 205/55/R15 from Fourby100, they have an aggressive tread with great grip and im loving them! im not positive but i think theres more of a wheel gap now but not too much. im on 15x6.5 with MI springs.

i got them for $339 shipped! and they shipped really fast too!

definitely talk to ryan (330h) about pricing, sizing, etc before you buy anywhere else! he hooks it up!...FAT!

I know. I have been considering my choices for the past few weeks. A friend let me borrow a set of his sportmaxx rims. They were 15x8 Et+15 (attached picture). I liked the look they gave it but they rubbed just a little bit in the rear with passengers and the front rubbed under EXTREME corners. At the time, I had my front fender liners removed but not the rears. Also had my front fenders rolled just enough to fit a Khumo V710 Rcomps 225/50/15. they still rubbed a bit with 15x7 Et+40 rota GT3 rims.

after doing some measuring, I will also go with a 15x7 +25 which I could not find any rims that i liked, I am trying to stick with the red rims with polished lip look. I do not like black rims. I do like the gold rims but I feel they will not look good. too many different colors. Only thing I found with a ET25 was 15x8.25 which I dont want that large of a rim.

I have been doing alot of consideration and this is the rim I am going to go with.

I am not looking for an aggressive tire for these rims. I will be using my Rota GT3 rims for autocross and will have Hankook RS-3 225/45 on those. These rims I want long life and good tread for rain. possible considering 195/50 maybe or 205/50.. need some more opinions.

What are you drop on? Fender liner removed? Fender rolled? Im considering same offset but 16's. Thanks

Ooo. Those are gonna look pretty. You should come to the meet that Phil is trying to organize in Florida next month.

I had great luck with Nexen N5000 tires. Thick treads, good wet weather handling. Got 58K out of them, but I do a lot of easy driving on 95. I had bought them not long after that meet we had at Savannah Mall and that was like two years ago.

Oh, and you should come to the meet in Florida. ^_^

I have megan coilovers. I don't have an aggressive fender roll, just enough to push that tab in the front fender where a clip hold the liner in.

Sav912, I can only say maybe to that meet up. I got a wedding to plan and pay for in april, so traveling expenses are for autocross events and anywhere "she" wants to go that is reasonable.. so far the only trip we have planned in Knockville TN beginning of Feb to visit her friends that recently moved there. I talked to Phil about that already, my sister actually moved to Orlando 2 weeks ago so I have a place to stay at least.

YOU guys need to plan to be at Sibling Rivalry this year in Jacksonville. I go every year and I only came across 1 other Yaris last time.

Sav I love the plug for the meet lol and yes I really want both you guys to come down. We could get a pretty nice size gathering of Toyota's if you guys do come.

Sav I ran nexens as well on my 15s and I like them as well.

D, I do plan on trying to make SR this year is it not til December again?

I can bank on making it to SR this year. The lady still has a tC, but I probably won't have the Yaris by November.

And Phil, I told you I'd talk to D. Just doin' my job. We should try to make the meet whichever weekend that D isn't going to Knoxville. Even if we have to push it back a couple of weekends.

Oh and D, what interest may you have in some HIDs?

Yea I want southeast/FL meets to be like a 3-4 time a year event but its so hard to get much participation from the yaris community.

I actually have a good handfull or two of combined yaris and rolla owners. It would be nice to take advantage of the higher interest shown.

We should move this talk to regional sorry to hijack

for mpg 195/55

50s would be a tad too short and slightly sacrifice mpg.

That is a common affordable tire. Now you've got extra money to come down next month. Lol

as for tires, I have the bottom of the line Yokohamas, AS430 and I am really impressed. They've remade them now, but they handle great in the dry and the rain, and they have at least 40k miles on them so far, since about mid 2008, and the still have a ton of tread on them.
