Radio/CD power Button

hi All,
new to the forum. I own a wee battered up 00 Yaris Verso....Its brilliant for my mountain bikes and it amazes people when I arrive with 2 or 3 bikes in the back to an event.

anyway I was away for two weeks and the yaris was left sitting.

It starts fine but when I went to turn on the Power button for the Standard built in Radio/CD, nothing happens. It was working fine and I was always impressed with the standard dash radio on it.

I dont know whats up with it?

I'm not that good with cars. Is it a blown fuse that I should be looking for.

Thanks,

Yeah, check your fuses first. I'm not familiar with that car, but find the fuse panel, and there should be a picture with labels for the fuse. It should be called "radio" or something.

There may be some more fuses under the hood (black box somewhere like near the battery)

HI sorry, still never got this working,

Got the Acc fuse checked under the wheel and also I checked the Dome fuse under the bonnet. I got the power checked coming into the radio and there is no power so it doesnt seem like the radio unit itself..

Please any other suggestions please?

The radio gets constant power from the 15A DOME fuse which is in the under hood (bonnet) fuse box and gets ignition switched power from the 15A ACC fuse which is located on the face of the fuse panel under the dash, on your 2000.

If neither of those two are blown, I would pull the radio out and check to see if one of the connectors is loose on the back of it.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah both of these fuses seem to be fine so I pulled the radio out and got a friend to check the power going into one of the connectors and he says there isnt any, so im confused on what could be wrong
