Open hoods on rainy weather????

Does any one have an open hood like the Seibon on a place other than SOCAL?

I'm just concerned about the effect of much water going into the engine bay and would like to hear other people experiences.

I've had this same hood sitting on my garage for months and now I'm finally thinking about installing it.



But it gets really rainy down here!


I thought I can always do some kind of removable cap to install over the mesh.

Opinions, suggestions?


I kind of like the idea of the reverse cowl on this hood.... I believe it would extract a lot of heat from the front of the engine.
My engine bay really gets hot... some times after a spirited drive I can not even touch the pipe from my Fujita CAI.... that pipe as well as the plastic intake manifold can get really hot....
