it does look extraneous, and the fitment is poor (why doesn't it extend all the way down???)

Interesting concept, but I think I could gen up something a helluva lot cheaper than $29.99 + $4.75 s&h!

And at first I thought this thread was about an instrument mounted on the hood, like the old hot rods used to have!

Have to admit that my poor tired old eyes could use that. But the fit is terrible, and I'm sure i can get the Kid to scarf me a chunk of CF to use.

It seems easy enough to make something out of acrylic sheet. I'm assuming it would be a lot cheaper than $30+shipping, but I don't have much of a glare issue as well with the cluster.

I like the idea. I would like to see one that fits better. And there should be an option to have the passenger side extend more, blocking the front passenger's view of the cluster.
