Same thing happened to me, mine fell off the freeway, so I had an exposed tow hook mount...funny story tho. After like a month or two, I was walking in the downtown area and I was looking down as I was crossing a street. I saw something on the ground that said "1E0" and thought to myself, "that sounds familiar." Then it hit me, it is the paint code for my car's color, and just happened to be a tow hook cover! LMAO. I picked it up, washed it and detailed it, and slapped it on my car (doesn't match exactly, but at least I have one again). =)

What are the odds?

It's called a "tow eye cap" and you can get it for about 3 bucks (though I think it's unpainted) from toyotapartscheap.com:

http://www.trademotion.com/parts/200...ow%20eye%20cap

That search is for the 2008 HB, don't know what model yours is but you can find it there.

Thanks Patrick..mines is a 07 sedan so should be the same. But get this..they want $40.00 shipping for a $10.00 item to Hawaii. I hope they know that Hawaii is still a US state and they don't pay any kind of international shipping..lol!!!

Hmmm, this is odd.
I lost my tow hook cover a little over a week ago. Mine is meteorite metallic HB. Looked at that website to find a replacement (local dealer wants $15 for an unpainted one, and another $20 to paint it to match). Either they want to charge exorbitant prices ($9) for a year newer car (2009) as opposed to the 2008 pricing for that piece, or something... Doesn't make sense to me.

And why is it that the ones for the sedan come pre-painted, but not for the HB??

Anyone have any other suggestions for getting that replacement part in the right color for the HB, or a decorative tow hook suggestion?

I'm confused by your question. That same search I posted lists pre-painted covers for the HB.

Her's is an 09, which has the squarish, rather than round hole cover. If you search for the 09 LB on that site (and others) it only shows one option, which is unpainted.
