Bored....Wing Fabrication Time

747 influence onto the rear of my car. Guess I should be ready to put the turbo on now. :)

Will you be leaving it naked, or are you going to paint match it? Very creative. ;)

Thanks. The main body is actually the blue metallic to match other parts of my car, and the rear lip is a silver carbon fiber wrap....which will be matching the rest of the exterior of the car. Now back to the rollcage.

Aw shucks, now I have to go back to my original idea of turbo and nitrous. That will lead to extremely tall gears. Higher speed rated tires. Yikes!!!!!!!

That is why prior to purchase the credit union consultant was contacted. After a great deal of investigation by him, I was told he didn't know how Toyota, cough, er, Scion, could sell this vehicle for the price it was posted at. Contrary to the now defunct Saturn brand, at least with Scion you got something that would last for your hard earned dollars.

Yes, why do you question?

My buddy with his nissan hardbody has one on his truck and it can make a big difference how he has it set especially depending on wind speed and direction.

Because Yaris is FWD, and a wing will push down on rear, causing the front end to lift.

It all depends on how the dampening is set as well as other variables. There are several FWD cars that I have personally watched go down the course with them successfully. It all depends on ride height, under vehicle aerodynamics, etc.

Technically this is true, but the wing is JUST behind the rear wheels. The rear downforce far out weights any lift happening in front, especially if you have a splitter or other aero components up front.

I doubt you get much downforce under 100 mph anyway -- I didn't. (and I never noticed any loss of traction up front.)

several FWD cars are hitting high speeds. Suzuki did like 206mph in 2010, I believe.

Hondata sported a CRX that ran about 236mph.

Like the others said, it just depends on how you set it up.
