Downshifting grinding
I just got a 2007 manual tranny yaris and it doesn't want to shift into 2nd unless I'm going below 25mph does a little grind. down shifts fine below that speed. Is this normal? going UP thru the gears no issues what so ever!

My transmission was doing the same thing... It was the synchronizer that was worn.

I fixed mine with $350 because I bought an used Scion xB transmission and swapped the input, countershaft and differential to my transmission because the xB has a 4.31 final drive. I also did the whole job myself so no mechanic fees.
