NO. 2 POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER
Hello,
I just purchased a 2008 Yaris Auto-Transmission four door sedan. I had a small disc pop up through the auto shifter. After a search online I found this piece is the No.02 Position indicator which is shown in the diagram attached. It looks like it's not really a critical part, but now that it's out the shift moves a bit too loosely out of the Park position. I looks as though most of the console has to be taken out to fix this. What do you guys suggest. Just leave it or do the repair? Thanks! |

I don't believe that that disc has that much of an effect. If the disc popped out there is probably more broken plastic down there that resulted from someone hammering on the shifter.
Actually - I just popped Crashy's apart to see and the disc is nothing more than a dust shield. With the whole cover removed her shifter still feels exactly the same. Shifter Cover.jpg Shifter.jpg |

That's perfect!
Thanks a lot. I'll just take it out. Take care! |
