Blower motor? "Here we go again" - Toyota Yaris Forums

Ok. The blower motor stopped working yesterday. First time since I purchased car. I opened the cabin filter to look for blockage. None found. Then I turned the cage by hand, and it started working fine. Now today "hot as fire in Georgia"
It stops again? So I open the fresh air vent, then drove to highway speed to see if outside air would move motor enough to start! It did.
Now ? How much trouble to change out blower motor? Let me guess. Pull engine and transmission, also rear tires

Any idea of motor cost?

Remove the bottom plastic panel there should be a few screws and it comes out. Should take less than 20 minutes from start to finish.

Part # is 8713-52141 it lists for 135 I would try calling a local parts store and see if a aftermarket one is available most likely will be find one for half that price

I took out my son's blower and unplugged and lubed it with WD40. Put it back.

I was told that I should of used silicone instead but it is working now and has been for a few weeks.
