Rear Sway Bar

Installed my Trd rear sway bar today. It's pretty wet up here in Mass today so I haven't gone too crazy testing it out, but corners much flatter and just feels tighter over all.

Yes, the rear sway bay can make a dramatic difference in handling.
IMO, it gives you the most bang for the buck than any other thing you can do for your suspension . .

And those big rigs won't blow you off the highway any longer.
Soooo much more relaxing.

Update: Day two with the sway bar. I swear it's like driving a different car. Corners flat, and just over all more stable. I highly recommend this mode.

Too bad when I checked with the local Toyota dealer they said the TRD rear sway bar is not available in Canada.

Thanks .. though I am trying to find something in Canada, as shipping across the border is less than desirable, especially when shipping UPS. But I am in no hurry to make a purchase.

Plan to get one installed before the winter . The rear of the sedan seems a bit squirmy when driving on snow covered roads . Hopefully that'll help with stability . Use Blizzak WS 70s in winter .

Thanks .. do you know anyplace in Canada that sells them (like the TRD model) ? But if need be I will order from Micro Image. I just hate the whole shipping thing across the border, but I imagine they will be accommodating.

Fed Ex and USPS are not that bad. But UPS is another story.

I am going to try to get the part from Toyota Canada out of Vancouver. That price should probably be lower than having to get it from the US and paying for shipping.

Just cause this item is bulky and difficult to ship. I am going to try to get the part from Canada first .. as I am sure you can appreciate.

Had you looked into a better sway? like the WhiteLine? They may have a dealer in Canada.

Will get it through a TOYOTA dealer . Certain dealers have coupons ( download and print ) that discount parts . Some up to 20% . Look under parts department of TOYOTA dealer sites . Some charge more than others for the sway bar and install , so shop around . May be able to get one to match other dealer . Cheapest I found was a little under $220 for part and install . Not that pricey .

If Hershey is in Canada, a local source will probably be cheaper. My post was to send one to enviri after he sends his to.... and so on...
