Nitto midpipe diamiter?
Hey everyone,
I have been thinking about getting a used Nitto midpipe from another member on here, but since I don't want to run without cats, i'm probably going to put a high-flow cat in it. However, I would like for the piping to be bigger then the stock piping, as I have read a few threads around here that say that the stock piping goes from around 2 inches to about 1.75 (not sure where in the exhaust it does this, I believe it's after the resonator but I could be wrong). So I am wondering if the nitto midpipe has around 2 inches all around or goes back to 1.75 like the stock midpipe. I've tried and tried several times to search for this information but I don't believe anyone has asked this question. ![]() If anyone can find out for me that would be a big help. Thanks! P.S. Does anyone think it might just be better to go to an exhaust shop and have them cut up my midpipe and have them do what I want with it? |

I wouldn't spend the money on a Nitto just to hack it up. I have one. However I'm locked up for the night and unable to answer your question regarding dia. If you still looking in the am when I open I'll ck it 4u. I think the muffler shop route may be your best bet on the stock exhaust. Cut after a cat and the sensor and weld your 2 in dia. pipe if that is what you want.

Yeah, I think it might be better just to hack up my OEM midpipe.
I already have a Tanabe Medallion touring axleback, and i'm going to be getting a DC header soon hopefully. So to make it a full exhaust I wanted to delete the secondary cat, replace the first cat with a high-flow one, and maybe put in a resonator or 2. |

i had a 2.25" section built from where the exhaust shrinks down to 1.75" (after the resonator) to the axleback portion (which for me was the 2.25" diameter megan axleback)
then you can keep your stock cat and resonator...
