Netherlands cluster?

I have been hoping for some time to use the Netherlands Yaris cluster... I have even tried contacting a Toyota dealership in the Netherlands through a friend of mine who used to live there, and nothing has worked. I want to know if it is a direct swap between the two, and if it is, where I can order one. I remember reading something about having to swap the EEPROM, and thats fine by me, Ive had plenty experience doing the same kinda things with Xbox's.

Yeah... I am sure it will work, there have been some attempts to swap with canadian clusters, only down fall was KM, but the Ntherlands use Imperial miles, they are a bit closer to our miles, and I am sure with an ECU flash it could be solved, but the problem is how to get one here for a good price

Hey I'm Dutch and have family and friends in the Netherlands. Please provide a part # and a picture, if available. I will contact my buddy in The Hague and have him find the cluster.

The Netherlands was one of the first countries to adopt the metric system, in 1820. Here's a picture.

So they use the same km as most of the world.

I'm not a metric bigot, btw. Although Canada switched in the seventies, we still weigh people by pounds and measure them by feet and inches.

Yes, maybe a flash of the cluster would work. The UK clusters are incompatible because they are meant for viewing on the right side, but the firmware could still work in a continental cluster.

I believe it has been stated before that you can switch between kilometers and imperial miles at the push of a button. If that is only for the given speed, I am not sure.

Post News

Hi,

I received a e-mail from a local Toyota Dealer In The Hague today. The cluster is available for the Yaris but, they have 7 different types. It all depends on your VIN number and the country of manufacturing, US, Japan or Euro. The guy at the dealer also told me that you could run in some problems with the wiring trees. They're all different.

Here's the low and high pricing for the cluster. Low $ 1200 High $ 1500. This does not include shipping cost. The total cost is probably between $ 1350 and $ 1700. I think I will use my money for other more important mods.

If you need help ordering a cluster contact me. I do need a VIN# and the manufacturing location.

If you have any other questions, e-mail me or reply in this thread.

Thanks.

Ouch, that is pricey... I honestly don't think it is worth it... I had expected about 500-600, but maybe someone else who isn't broke and in college would pony up.

Oh, and thanks a million for looking into it!
