2012 Toyota oil chart : What the ...
 !!! Looks like it states 5w-30 non synthetic only . A bit misleading since there was the TSB EG018-6 giving approval for 5w-20 . Have a signed approval of that from a Toyota service center and from the corporate headquarters in California . There's also a chart for Canada that gives approval for 5w-20 and 0w-20 , http://pdfcast.org/pdf/toyota-oil-recommendation . You'd think they'd be the same since it's the same 1.5 ltr. engine . Does this mean if there's an issue with the engine that they could void the warranty by discovering use of a 5w-30 or lighter synthetic oil ?
