Sound Deadening - most effective?

What is the best bang for the buck as far as bringing the in-cabin sound level down. I guess I'd also consider best bang for time involved. I rather not remove the entire interior.

From my own ears it seems like a lot of noise comes from the wheel wells. Is coating the wheel wells (on the outside) the best bet?

Also, a lot of people seems to cover the wheel well with metal tape stuff. Is that area a prime culprit?

In that case, I'd suggest ear plugs.

Really? You think any incremental steps would be a waste of time? It seems like coating the wheel wells with a layer of truck bed rubber coating might put a good dent in the noise.

I used the spray and aluminum tape method and noticed a difference, but I had to tear down the interior. Given the amount of reduction I got from that I can't imagine you having much luck only hitting the underside of the fender liners. There are a few threads around that go into great detail on the subject...

I notice alot of wind noise at freeway speed. You can squeeze in foam caulk rope into your door seal to provide a even tighter seal to prevent wind noise.

Its this stuff: http://www.acehardware.com/product/i...Id=57906222043
