2012 Bumper Swap
I prefer the Se model Bumper and would like to put it on my L they seem to be the same fitting apart from the grills and fog light inserts,my concern is mainly the fender liners as the older model RS fender liners were different from the regular liners.
Has anyone done this mod or have any insight?thanks |

I thought about this myself, however to purchase everything new
wouldn't be cost effective.I'll just wait for used or aftermarket... |

And guess what, you wont ever know till you do it...just ziptie the bottom hole and you're fine..it doesn't even show or poke out. |

Or you can see if you can find any intact from a junkyard when they start getting wrecked for a cheaper price as well. A nice rear ender and you can take everything you want from the front.

They don't bend the bumper, one tab snapped off the bottom, but that was expected. They pack it really good and ship lighting fast, its Japan we're talking about haha. I vouch for her. PM me if you want a pic ;) |

I don't think 2012 models would come out that soon yet. Good luck.

On the 12+ Yaris it is not that easy. It's just not. Again, both upper and lower grilles, fender liners, fog lamp garnishes, and bumper cover are all different. Not just a little bit different, totally not the same whatsoever! Sure, the clips and related hardware are identical but thats were it ends.. I've swapped bumpers on an Evo (easy) 96-98 and 99-00 Civics (not easy). I have not done a del Sol, but Honda like Toyota tends to change little brackets and retainers that add up to big $$ to make things fit properly. The Yaris is only slightly easier than a EK Civic in that the fenders themselves are the same, as well as the hood. Heck, I'd settle for some RS LED tails!! |

Will be installing a rear SE bumper cover on my LE,the front is not cost effective with all the other parts needed to swap, that's why I painted my
lower grill and fog light covers... |

technically speaking you dont need any of the plastics that everyone is refering to, in order to swap a bumper out. all is needed is the front bumper, the little mesh grill in and so fourth.

The fender liners are substantially different between RS and L/LE. Mainly the shape of the front and the attachment points.
You will need the following: Bumper Cover Fog Lamps L+R Fender Liners L+R Upper Grille Lower Grille Fog Lamp Garnish L+R Tow hook cover All the hardware is the same, as well as the Toyota crest and reinforcements. Sadly, this will not be cheap or easy.. :( |
